Dermabrasion is a mechanical peeling, non-chemical, non-invasive that uses a spray of micro-crystals to remove the outermost layer of the skin composed of dry, dead keratinocytes cells and reveal younger, healthy looking skin. Dermabrasion also encourages the production of a new underlying layer of skin cells with higher levels of collagen and elastin, which further improves the skin appearance, firmness and elasticity. Dermabrasion can be performed as a soft or a more intensive procedure to treat deeper facial lines, extreme sun damage, scars, acne scars and stretch marks.

Dermabrasion does not present any serious risks when it is performed by a qualified person. Some people may experience slight skin irritation and redness. It uses non-allergenic highly purified crystals.
